Meet Our Team
Lori is a registered dental hygienist at McDonald Family Dentistry in Urbandale, IA, and she came to our office with a strong periodontal background and knowledge from working for more than 25 years in this field. In that time, she’s earned a reputation for her gentle and caring touch with patients of all ages.
She gets to know every patient at McDonald Family Dentistry in Urbandale, IA while she meets with them regularly to educate and assist them establish good hygiene practices. She consistently delivers thorough treatments because the patient’s dental health and comfort are always her top concerns.
Lori joined our team in 2006.

Our Office Assistants:
Monica is our patient care & financial coordinator. She is the first person who will greet you with a smile when you visit or call our office. She specializes in patient concerns ranging from coordinating visits and continuing care to assisting our patients with their dental insurance plans.
Monica is also an expanded functions dental assistant and has worked in the dental field since 2002. She prides herself on her expertise and the knowledge she has to share about maintaining excellent oral healthcare for our patients. She treats all patients like family.
Monica joined our team in 2012.

Amy is a registered dental assistant & treatment coordinator. Our patients appreciate the knowledge she shares with them while working chairside with Dr. McDonald. Patients enjoy Amy’s positive attitude and compassionate smile. She’s always happy to answer questions for our patients regarding their continued care to achieve optimal dental health. Amy’s dental career began in 2009 when she graduated from Vatterott College, and she has been working at our office since the summer of 2015.

Regan is a registered dental assistant & treatment coordinator. She has been working in the field of dentistry for two years after graduating from Des Moines Area Community College (DMACC) in 2009. She takes pride in her work and is especially skilled at educating patients young & old about the value of their oral health. Regan is well-versed in all facets of dental knowledge and is eager to ensure that our patients are knowledgeable in what to expect during their entire treatment process. Her excellent communication skills and warm & friendly smile provide pleasurable dental visits for our patients of all ages.

Ann is Dr. McDonald’s wife, and she enjoys her full-time job taking care of their two young children. She also works part-time during the week as part-time practice manager. She has thoroughly enjoyed helping Dr. McDonald establish and build his vision of McDonald Family Dentistry in Urbandale, IA since its start in August 2004.
Ann takes pride in being able to help create a comfortable environment that makes patients feel like they’re a special part of the practice. Her special touches help patients feel as welcome as guests in their home.
